Born in the village of Sonpuri, near Patangarh, in Madhya Pradesh, Subhash Vyam is a well-known Pardhan-Gond artist like his wife Durgabai and his acclaimed brother, Jangarh Singh Shyam. He was awarded the ‘Rajya Hastha Shilpa Puraskar’ by the Government of Madhya Pradesh in 2002.
